Base64 to image
Paste the Base64 of an image, or a whole data: URL such as data:image/png;base64,iVBOR…, and the picture appears below the editor, with its type and size. Download saves it as a file.
Recognised by its content
PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, BMP and icon (.ico) images are recognised from their bytes, so no file name or type is needed. An SVG is text: it shows as its XML, formatted. A PDF or another file is named and can be downloaded.
Straight from your code
Copy Base64 from an HTML img tag, a CSS url(), a JSON payload or an email source: the data: prefix, line breaks and spaces are all fine.
And back
Open or drop an image to get its Base64 in the editor, ready to copy.
Check an image before it ships
Make sure an image inlined in an email template, a CSS file or an API response is the right picture, the right type and a sensible size before it goes out: its type and size in bytes show next to the preview.
Private: nothing is uploaded
Formatting, checking and comparing all happen in your browser. Your documents are saved in the browser's own storage on this computer, not on a server, so they never leave your device.
With your permission, we count anonymous visits (which pages and tools are used), never what you type. See Privacy.
Questions
Why does no image appear?
The Base64 may hold something else: text shows as text, and other files are named and can be downloaded. A damaged or cut-off string is pointed out with the position of the problem.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
Your documents aren't: everything runs in your browser, and they are saved on your computer, in the browser's storage for this site. With your permission we count anonymous visits, never their content.
