TOML formatter and validator
Paste TOML, such as a Cargo.toml, a pyproject.toml or a Hugo or Netlify config, to check it against the TOML spec and tidy its layout. Comments, strings, numbers and dates stay exactly as written.
Tidy, not rewritten
Format puts single spaces around =, removes stray spaces from table headers, writes inline tables as { a = 1, b = 2 }, and spreads long arrays (or arrays with comments) over one line per item. Blank lines between groups stay, at most one at a time.
Checked against the spec
Invalid values, duplicate keys and tables defined twice are pointed out with their line and column as you type. Minify drops comments, blank lines and optional spaces; Sort keys orders the keys of each table, keeping tables in their order.
Wherever TOML is used
Rust's Cargo.toml, Python's pyproject.toml, Poetry and Pipenv lock files, and the configs of Hugo, Netlify, Starship and many command-line tools are TOML: paste any of them to check and tidy it.

Questions
Does formatting change my values?
No. Strings (multi-line ones too), numbers, dates and booleans are kept exactly as written; only spaces, line breaks and the order of keys (with Sort keys) change.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
Your documents aren't: everything runs in your browser, and they are saved on your computer, in the browser's storage for this site. With your permission we count anonymous visits, never their content.
