Network diagram maker

Draw a network: the internet connection, firewall, routers and switches, Wi-Fi access points, computers and servers, grouped into networks or zones. It opens with a small office network to change into yours.

Network diagram symbols

  • Globe and cloud: the internet, and anything outside your network
  • Firewall: where traffic is filtered
  • Router and switch: where networks meet, and where devices plug in
  • Access point, laptop, mobile and workstation: the devices people use
  • Server, database and storage: the machines that serve them

Draw links as lines without arrowheads, as the example does, and a dashed line for wireless.

Group by network or zone

Put each network, VLAN, subnet or site in a container, such as "Office LAN", "DMZ" or "Guest Wi-Fi", and add its address range to the label, such as 192.168.1.0/24. A container moves everything inside it, so the layout stays tidy as it grows.

Keep it useful

  • Label links with what matters: speed, VLAN or port
  • Label devices with the names or IP addresses people will look for
  • When both matter, draw the physical layout (cables and ports) and the logical one (networks and routing) as separate diagrams

Questions

Is it for home or office networks?

Either: from a home router with a few devices to offices and data centres with several sites. Use one tab per site or per level of detail.

Can I share a network diagram without uploading it?

Yes. Share creates a link that carries the diagram itself, compressed, so nothing is stored on a server. Anyone with the link can see it, including any addresses written on it.

Does it discover the devices on my network?

No. You draw the diagram yourself; nothing scans your network, and the editor never connects to it.
